1001 Books
Jan. 22nd, 2010 09:55 amI'm working on that big long list of 1001 books to read before you die. Anyone interested in reading with me? List is here: http://www.listology.com/list/1001-books-you-must-read-you-die , and an Excel spreadsheet checklist is here: http://johnandsheena.co.uk/books/?page_id=730 .
I'm going to start chronicling my opinions on these books, and I'm going to set up a filter for that, because I'm not sure how many of my friends here want to hear me ramble about books. If you want on the filter, a simple comment will get you on!
After a year and a half break of reading from the list, I'm starting back up with Dracula by Bram Stoker. I've read the tiny excerpt at the beginning of the book so far (before I stopped because I got inspired to keep track of all these ramblings), but from what I can see, this is a book about REAL vampires. Not fluffy, showy, sparkly vampires. I can't wait to see how the story unfolds!
