Uh, well... I picked up a game that I never thought I'd get into again.
Yes, I am playing Furcadia again.
You know how some people get addicted to World of Warcraft, or other highly addictive games? They play all day, all night, every free moment they have, and get really twitchy when they haven't played in a while?
Well, that was me and Furcadia, about nine years ago.
I was dealing with depression back then, and Furcadia was the only thing that got me out of bed and eating. I ended up becoming nocturnal, waking up at around 4 pm, and staying up until around 7 am, hunched over my desktop, annoying the crap out of my roommate with my constant typing. When I got a medical single, I played even more, since I didn't have to worry about annoying anyone. Anyway, I was such a hardcore Furcadia player that I even installed it on my network storage drive on the school's network in case my computer broke down, or in case ResNet went down and the denizens of the dorms were left internetless.
I think I ended up quitting in 2004, when I moved to California. I tried picking it back up a few times, always with the same character, but never really got back into it.
Until now, anyway. I finally found some great people to hang out with, and I'm getting back into the swing of things. :D
