What makes it worse is that I don't even have any invite codes to give out yet, so Rin can just stuff in a code and then pay. Ergh. I understand that it's open beta night and all, but still...

very true... I tried to buy a second paid acct and have been getting the invalid username error. *weeps*

I hope they can clear it up soon. it's such an exciting night, and I hope this doesn't ruin things for them!

Yeah, I've noticed a lot of people saying "this isn't making a good first impression, I'm not buying an account". I think they forget that this is still in beta.

yeah, beta usually means that things will explode here and there :)

losing my normal username was upsetting, so I can understand how some of these folks feel, though.

if you haven't seen this already -- copy the URL from the email you got with the account creation code, and put https:// instead of http:// -- this made it work. whew.
