I am so exhausted. PMS, you can stop any minute now and let me have my period. You've been harrassing me for almost two weeks now.

I got out of work early today because I was falling asleep at my computer. I'm gonna take a nap in a few minutes.

I might be getting a new laptop, thanks to knowing about the innate workings of Financial Aid. Apparently, you can ask for a budget adjustment for a computer once during your college career. Snowball is having issues, and I want something with a longer battery life and less issues, and Bryan needs something that actually works, so I think I might get one of the new 13 inch MacBook Pros and hand Snowball down to Bryan. I think I might name the new laptop Silibern II, after Bryan's car. (Oh lord how I miss poor Silibern, he must think we abandoned him in Long Island!)

Okay, naptime. Hopefully I'll feel better after a nap. I haven't had a nap since last week.

You can really do that (the budget adjustment for a new computer)?? I ask because my husband wants a MacBook and we're on federal financial aid... if we could do that, it would help a TON.

I highly recommend the MacBooks! I have had barely any trouble with mine over the past three years, and even found making my own hardware upgrades pretty easy.

FYI though, the latest OS X upgrade, Snow Leopard, will be out sometime in September. It's not big on new features, but apparently it's got a bunch of awesome under-the-hood type improvements, so you might want to wait on a new laptop until the upgrade. Of course, Snow Leopard is going to be relatively cheap ($20-30), so it's not that big of a deal.

Oh yeah, I've had a MacBook for three years too, but Snowball was a low end MacBook three years ago, and even with the RAM upgrade I did recently, he's still a little pokey for my tastes... And hey, $30 for an upgrade is no big deal to me. :D
